I got a pretty good deal on these wheels and tires directly from Helix MINIsports. They are a great shop for performance and other MINI bits, so be sure to check them out!

The first picture is of my 17 inch run flat summer performance tires, all washed and being tucked into the garage for the winter. I considered going with 15 inch wheels but I feel they look too small on the MINI Cooper S. I liked the look of the multi-piece R90 MINI wheels but they are very expensive. The one-piece R90s are a great compromise - fair price and a good looking, durable wheel.

I decided to fit run flat tires since I am not a fan of fix-a-flat. Besides, I have a car with tire pressure monitors that was intended to use run flats so why not use them? I have not yet had them in snow but they will be a great improvement over my summer tires, with which I could barely make it out of my flat driveway during our first snowstorm of the winter.
